The "Truth" about your AS/400:
We have received numerous phone calls about ongoing 400-based software support. Manatron will continue to support the Kansas 400-based software programs and doesn’t foresee this changing for a very long time. In fact, we see this as a great thing for Counties because now they can choose to switch to a PC based software suite, run a 400-based software suite, or choose to do both allowing one department in the County to choose to run PC based solutions while another runs 400 based solutions, yet the software will still hold tight integration because it is all under the Manatron umbrella.
Sale of CountyWorks to Manatron, Inc.
Nex-Tech, Inc. has reached an agreement to sell its CountyWorks operation to Manatron, Inc. of Portage, Michigan. Thus, effective November 1, 2008, your CountyWorks software and support will be provided through Manatron. As part of this Agreement, Nex-Tech will be providing hardware and technology services for Manatron in the state of Kansas.
Manatron is the national leader in property tax, assessment, appraisal and recording software with its Government Revenue Management software suite used by jurisdictions throughout the U.S. to collect more than $65 billion in annual tax revenues. Manatron began in this business in 1969 and now serves nearly 1,400 customers in 38 states, three Canadian provinces, the U.S. Virgin Islands and South Africa.
In July 2008, Manatron acquired InfiniTec, Inc. of Hays, Kansas. InfiniTec has been in business since 1992 providing software and services to Kansas counties. By combining Nex-Tech’s CountyWorks applications and customers with Manatron’s recently acquired InfiniTec Division, Manatron is creating an even stronger suite of software solutions and supporting services for Kansas government.
Rest assured, Manatron intends to support CountyWorks just as Nex-Tech has and all previously established agreements will continue to be honored. Furthermore, the individuals you are accustomed to working with at CountyWorks—Bill Turman, Amber Hagerman and Neil Offutt—have accepted positions with Manatron and will continue to work with you from their Hays office.
Nex-Tech has truly enjoyed the opportunity to work with you and we sincerely appreciate the loyalty you have shown us over the years. Manatron has a long-standing history as a national leader in government management software and we are confident they will continue to provide the same high-quality services you have come to know and trust from Nex-Tech CountyWorks.
If you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please contact Bill Turman (Nex-Tech) at (800) 258-2751 or Travis Rozean (Manatron) at (800) 832-8246.
Sincerely,
Jeff Wick Chief Operating Officer
